Blue dumortierite was formed around 298 million years ago inside metamorphic rocks  that underwent high heat and pressurized conditions. It was formed in France, Sri Lanka, Brazil and the United States. The result of the above formation process is visually stunning. You will see different variations of blue hues, browns and reds, and flashes of iridescent feldspar within the stones.
